3D printing

3D printing has grown in prevalence and has revolutionized fashion. Shoes and even bras can be printed from the computer creating sculptures without the need for any traditional techniques.
3D objects are created by sending a digital file or scan to a printer which then builds the item layer by layer. This potentially eliminates the need for hand made sculptures. However with the growth of 3D printing becoming slowly more readily available could this lead to piracy?

Julien Fournie 3D design and Neoprene

Designer Julien fournie started designing garments using man made fiber neoprene, a rubberized type material that is notoriously difficult to sew. He therefore decided to take designs to engineers who would then be able to find the right pressure for the sewing machine needle that ensured the needle didn't break as well as coming up with way for the designers to create sketches in 3D eliminating the need to create multiple sketches from different view points therefore saving time.
